One of Sony’s most awaited titles, the reboot of Twisted Metal is being developed by Lucid Games at the moment, but according to reports, this is going to change soon.
The report comes from VGC, where it is said that a first-party Sony company from Europe will take over the development of Twisted Metal reboot from the hands of Lucid Games located in the United Kingdom. Lucid Games previously developed the PS5 exclusive title Destruction All-Stars.
Let us expand the term first-party European Sony companies. These companies include Guerrilla Games, London Studio, Media Molecule, Housemarque, and new arrivals of Nixxes and Firesprite.
There are currently no specified reasons for this change, but one said that the mixed opinion of Destruction All-Stars is a potential factor in this move. Neither Sony nor Lucid Games are eager to comment on the matter, as the report says.
