Devs from Call of Duty, The Last of Us, God of War Unite to Establish AAA Studio

Various developers from Call of Duty, The Last of Us, God of War, Destiny, and more have united to create That’s No Moon. The studio’s first project is already decided, and that is a single-player action-adventure game that will be played in the third person. And on top of this, an investment of $100 million is ready beforehand.

Apparently, the game will be “an ambitious, new action-adventure game that will push the limits of both gameplay and story.” As for the names behind the game, we have Taylor Kurasaki and Jacob Minkoff, who will serve as creative and game directors. It’s not the first time they work together though, as they have experiences from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and The Last of Us together.

That’s No Moon have already gotten their hands at investments, in which a major investment is already made as we mentioned above. The aim of the $100 million investment from Smilegate is to establish a partnership that aims to “create new experiences that will inspire empathy and deeper personal connections with players around the world.”

It’s always pretty interesting to see things like this happening. With the experience in major AAA titles, I say That’s No Moon shouldn’t be underestimated. I’ll be looking forward to what will they come up with in the future.
