CD Projekt Red is in Touch with The Witcher 3 Mod Developers for The Next-Gen Version

A next-gen version for The Witcher 3 is set to release around this year, and it promises ray-tracing, faster loading times, and more features. For features, looks like CD Projekt is seeking cooperation with mod makers of the original game.

As reported by Kotaku, CD Projekt has reached out to Halk Hogan, the developer of the HDRP mod which replaces the majority of the textures in-game with better-looking ones. He says that CD Projekt is looking for “cooperation” and that “it’s very likely HDRP will be included in the official next generation update”.

Nothing about cooperation talks with mod developers has been finalized yet though, as CD Projekt states that they do not have any binding agreements with such parties. But seeing mod developers drawing attention to themselves is great, and I hope that many mods that make The Witcher 3 great will be added to the next-gen version.
