Microsoft’s Fable is Using Forza Engine In Development

According to Microsoft’s job listing, Fable, which in development, is using Forza Engine.

The news comes from a job listing that is looking for software engineers. It states that the team Turn10 will be working on the ForzaTech engine, and “enriching the toolset to support an open-world action RPG – Fable.”

The job listing also includes improving the engine itself, which has to add the ray-tracing option in it. Sounds nice for sure, and will be waiting for it.

The game was firstly announced in July 2020, at Xbox a summer game announcement conference that happened before the release of the next-gen Xbox Series X/S. The game sure did look interesting back then. Let’s see how things will turn out for it.

The job listing also has other things like it had “a major impact on 3 AAA titles in development across 2 beloved Xbox franchises”, which is probably indicating Forza Motorsport, which could mean that the job is not only limited to Fable’s development.

The ForzaTech Engine gave Forza games life, and now seeing it taking the attention it needs is good. I sure do hope that the improvements that will be made to the engine will meet the requirements for being a decent engine for today’s standards.
