Free-to-Play Games No Longer Require Live Gold on Xbox

Microsoft has finally enacted the decision they took back then. And now, we no longer need Xbox Live Gold in order to download and play free-to-play games on Xbox consoles. Before this, we had to subscribe to Microsoft’s paid subscription in order to access free-to-play games.

Nintendo and Sony have similar policies on paid subscriptions for multiplayer modes of games. But they don’t put any restrictions on free games nonetheless.

Microsoft had announced that they would bump up the prices of subscriptions, but after many complaints rose from gamers, they backed off and on top of it, they decided to change the policy of free-to-play games when they’re at it. Which is great, no price changes, and now we can download free-to-play games for actually free!

These games include Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Rocket League, Destiny 2, Roblox, and Warframe. From what I see, this is a great decision for us gamers.
