RTX 3060 Will Be Nerfed By Nvidia So Crypto Miners Won’t Buy Them All
Nvidia’s RTX 3060 will be available soon, as guessed, it’s more of an economic GPU compared to other RTX 3000 cards. It’s a known fact that 60 series have always been” decent performance for less money” cards.
Nowadays it’s much harder for gamers to get the newest GPUs since crypto miners also wish to buy them to continue crypto mining.
In order to prevent this from happening, Nvidia has decided to reduce RTX 3060’s ethereum mining speed by 50%. This was spotted by YouTuber CryptoLeo, where he begins crypto mining at a speed of 42MH/s, but after a while, the speed drops to 27MH/s.
This is probably a result of an option inside BIOS that limits the speed of crypto mining, but it is unknown if anyone can break through that rule or not. At the end of the day, it’s good to see Nvidia taking such action for more gamers to get an RTX 3060.
