Silent Hill Creator Leaves Sony

Keiichiro Toyama, creator, and director of Silent Hill, left PlayStation. Toyama started a new company called Bokeh Game Studio.

During his time at Sony, Toyama worked on Siren games, followed by Gravity Rush and the sequel to Vita with PS4.

Of course, Toyama’s Silent Hill series has been going on without him for a long time. Although the rights to the horror series remain with Konami, no new game has been released since Silent Hill: Book of Memories on PlayStation Vita in 2012.

The notorious interactive teaser PT appeared in 2014, but the subsequent cancellation of the Hideo Kojima-helmed project seems to have left Konami reluctant to return.
