Halo: The Master Chief Collection To Receive Free 4K / 120FPS Upgrade on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S

On November 17, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be optimized for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S and will include 120FPS in Campaign and Multiplayer, Split screen improvements, up to 4K in Series X, and more. Announced by Xbox on Twitter, this update will be available free of charge to existing owners or subscribers to Xbox Game Pass.

Aaron Greenberg confirmed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will also support cross-gen playback and adjustable FOV.

These updates are another part of the future of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and include cross-play between Xbox One and PC, a dedicated game browser, PC file sharing, per-game graphics and sound options, mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One, and more. will include more.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released in 2014, and while it had a few issues at launch, it has been continuously supported and improved.

While Halo Infinite has been postponed to 2021, Halo fans will have a next-gen experience with Master Chief until they continue their next adventure, which will include 120FPS for free.
