In 2021, Microsoft Looks Set to Bring Xbox Game Pass to iOS

A few months ago, it seemed unlikely that Microsoft would bring Xbox Game Pass to iOS devices, but today a report says gaming boss Phil Spencer told employees that it will be ready next year, and will likely be using a browser to circumvent Apple’s restrictions.

“Business Insider” said Spencer said at a staff meeting on Wednesday that Game Pass wants to come to iPhone and iPad in 2021, with Apple plans to come directly using a browser-based solution to circumvent the current insistence.

Something like Game Pass was unexpected on the platform as Apple’s changes to the availability of game streaming services on iOS would force publishers to release a standalone app for every game they own on the service.
