Battlefield 1 Rupture map becomes free for everyone and more are coming

EA continues on making the Battlefield 1 expansion maps free for everyone and the next step was the Rupture map. The map is a representation of the place where the Second Battle of Marne took place. It was originally included in the expansion pack They Shall Not Pass and now it is free for everyone.

Moreover, other maps and features are coming soon, as EA indicated. One of the new stuff will cover the Shock Operations and it will come in June.

“Bite-sized epicness is coming to Battlefield 1 in a new mode. Dubbed Shock Operations, the mode supports 40 players and sees attackers and defenders battling over sectors – just like in the fan-favorite Operations mode introduced to the franchise with Battlefield 1. Here, though, the action will be focused to one single map – ideal if you don’t have time for a full Operations match.”

Shock Operations will be available on the following maps: Giant’s Shadow, Prise de Tahure, Lupkow Pass, Zeebrugge and River Somme. EA also said that these games will be available for everyone, not for only the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners, provided that they play the Shock Operations mode. However, if you want to play on these maps in all the modes available, you will still need the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass.

Other than these, more tweaks and improvements are coming:

“We’re continuing monthly updates for Battlefield 1 until June 2018, in which you can expect fresh content together with various tweaks and fixes for the player experience. As you may have seen on the Updates Page, these updates can cover anything: matchmaking, weapon balancing, even Dreadnought horns that sometimes won’t stop blaring.”

Enjoy your free map fellas and stay tuned for more!
