Microsoft’s highly anticipated and highly praised pirating with your friends simulator Sea of Thieves has now broke a huge record and has more than two million players. The games was released recently and it immediately received many positive reviews. It was a blast and its unique visuals with a unique gameplay made it an important title of the recent years. However, it also had a a couple of performance issues and some complaints about content being a little ‘shallow’. However, Rare has addressed to these issues in a patch and now, the game runs smoother.
Furthermore, Microsoft has announced that the game bas more successful than they had expected:

It is good to see that a tasteful game like this getting the attention it deserves. Why it deserves the attention? Because in a gaming world where every single step is based on the common expectation and where most of the games are a clone of others, developing something different is pretty hard. Sea of Thieves is a good game, and it is a good milestone for the gaming industry to show that different can sometimes be really successful.
