Assassin’s Creed Origins is getting a Discovery Mode

Assassin’s Creed maybe offers the best historical settings in gaming world, yet if you want to just explore and discover the environment, something stops you from doing it. Finally, we will be able to do that freely in Assassin’s Creed: Origins.

Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed: Origins is getting a Discovery Mode which named Discovery Tour. This way, we will be able to learn more about Ancient Egypt without getting in a combat. Discovery Tour offers two options you can choose between. The first one turns off all quests and combat in order to let you free-roam. The other one includes daily guided tours provided by Ubisoft and will help you gain specific knowledge of Egyptian society and history. Know that these tours curated by historians and Egypt experts. How fascinating is that?!

This is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, that we’ve been asked to do by teachers, by institutions. Discovery Tour is another way to enjoy the beauty of the world we’ve recreated. It’s a more educative mode, so it’s clearly focused on education and on bringing to people actual facts, more academic knowledge.

With February 20 update, all platforms will get the Discovery Tour if you already have the main game. If you don’t, it will be available as a standalone for $20 only on PC.

Stay tuned!
