EA reduced the Hero unclocking credits in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 by 75%

Well, after the community went crazy about the Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s microtransactions, Electronic Arts decided to make things right by reducing the credits needed to unlock Heroes in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 by 75%.

There’s been a lot of discussion around the amount of in-game credits (and time) it takes to unlock some of our heroes, especially Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Unlocking a hero is a great accomplishment in the game, something we want players to have fun earning. We used data from the beta to help set those levels, but it’s clear that more changes were needed.

I don’t know if it is enough and it is all up to you to decide whether you buy it or not. But, it is clear now that thanks to the community, we can have that and it is even surprising that EA admits that microtransactions hurt gamers and the gameplay experience. It is sort of an apology, if you can humbly accept.

Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are available for 15,000 credits, Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa are available for 10,000 credits and Iden is available at 5,000 credits right now.

Vox Populi.
