YouTube is experimenting with a Twitter-style community notes feature to provide viewers with additional context on videos. The pilot, available initially on mobile in the U.S. and in English, allows users to add clarifying notes about video content. Selected contributors will write the notes, and third-party evaluators will rate their helpfulness. YouTube aims to refine this feature based on user feedback and may expand it in the future.
