Steam Enforces Stricter Store Page Description Rules

Starting in early September, Steam will enforce new rules for store page descriptions. These updates aim to prevent distractions and ensure that players can easily learn about games. Key changes include prohibiting links to external websites, disallowing embedded imagery that mimics Steam UI, and banning the promotion of other games in descriptions. These rules will apply to the “About The Game,” “Short Description,” “Special Announcement,” and “Awards” sections. Steam will automatically hide any URLs included in these sections once the rules are enforced.
