Sonic X Shadow Generations has surpassed 3 million units sold worldwide, SEGA announced on October 26, 2026.
The figure comes directly from SEGA’s official sales announcement. The company did not provide a platform-by-platform breakdown or say how many of the sales were physical versus digital.
Sonic and Shadow reach a new sales milestone
Sonic X Shadow Generations combines a remaster of Sonic Generations with Shadow Generations, a separate campaign led by Shadow the Hedgehog. The package launched on October 25, 2024, and has continued selling across a broad range of platforms.
The game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. SEGA said the title was localized into 13 languages as part of its worldwide release.
The 3 million figure is a confirmed global sales milestone for Sonic X Shadow Generations itself. SEGA separately noted that the wider Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has exceeded 1.77 billion unit sales and free-to-play downloads, but that much larger total combines paid sales with downloads across the full series.
