Rockstar Games has clarified how creators may cover the GTA 6 Extended Look presentation when it premieres on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 27.
According to a clarification posted by Rockstar Games on its official X account, creators are free to livestream the presentation from the time it begins, provided they follow platform-specific guidelines and add their own context or commentary.
Commentary and Reaction Streams Are Permitted
The guidance allows creators to host live reactions, discuss what is being shown, and add original commentary during their broadcasts. Reaction content may also be shared across social media and video platforms once the Netflix premiere begins.
Full Unedited Restreams Are Not Permitted
Rockstar stressed that creators may not simply restream or repost the complete, unedited presentation without context or commentary. The distinction is between creator-led coverage and reproducing the entire video as-is.
The original presentation will be available through Netflix, while Rockstar’s official announcement provides the event details.
