PlayStation Store Wallet Credit Offers Appear for Select PS5 Users

Some PlayStation 5 users are seeing new PlayStation Store offers that provide wallet credit after buying selected games, but Sony has not announced the promotion or explained who is eligible.

A Reddit user shared an offer attached to The Blood of Dawnwalker and later reported receiving $10 in PlayStation Store credit immediately after completing the purchase. The listing described it as a limited-time Wallet Credit offer.

Destructoid documented similar offers associated with games including Star Wars: Zero Company, Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, and Resonance: A Plague Tale. A separate social media screenshot showed a PlayStation Store banner advertising wallet credit with selected purchases.

The offer does not appear for every user or every game. Reports also indicate that the value can be displayed in local currency, but Sony has not published a list of supported countries, qualifying accounts, eligible titles, or standard reward amounts.

That uncertainty makes it too early to describe Wallet Credit as a permanent rewards program. The sightings could represent a limited promotion, a regional test, targeted account offers, or the early rollout of a broader feature. Sony has not confirmed which explanation is correct.

Is Wallet Credit connected to PlayStation Stars?

The timing has prompted comparisons with PlayStation Stars, but there is no confirmed connection between the two programs. Sony announced in May 2025 that the current version of PlayStation Stars would wind down after it stopped accepting new members and ended new point-earning activities.

PlayStation Stars is scheduled to close completely on November 2, 2026. When announcing the closure, Sony said it would study the program’s lessons as it considered future loyalty efforts, but it did not identify Wallet Credit as a replacement.

For now, PlayStation users should check the exact terms shown on their own store listing before buying. An offer visible to one account may not be available to another, and the available reports do not establish a universal promotion.
