Sony has confirmed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for October 2026, led by F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. All three games will be available to PlayStation Plus members from October 6 through November 2.
The lineup was announced on the official PlayStation Blog. As usual, regional availability may vary, and an active subscription is required to access claimed Monthly Games.
F1 25 brings the 2025 season to PS5
F1 25 is the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. The PS5 release includes Career mode and the revised My Team 2.0, which puts players in control of their own Formula 1 team. It also features online competition and a squad-based multiplayer mode in F1 World that pits groups of players against AI drivers.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 joins the October lineup
Crytek’s extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896 is the second PS5 game in October’s selection. Players enter monster-filled maps alone or in teams of up to three, hunting bosses and competing against rival Hunters before trying to escape with the bounty. The October 6 release also coincides with a PlayStation Plus Starter Pack for the game, one of several horror-themed in-game bundles Sony is offering during the month.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 covers PS5 and PS4
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 rounds out the lineup on both PS5 and PS4. The spin-off turns the series’ giant alien battles into a voxel-styled campaign, with players building four-character squads from soldiers drawn across the main EDF games and related spin-offs. It supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen.
PlayStation Plus members also have until October 5 to add September’s games—Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes—to their libraries before the lineup changes.
