Pocketpair has announced Palworld: Side by Side, a new Palworld update scheduled for winter 2026. The developer revealed the name and release window alongside the results of its 2026 global popularity poll.
The official announcement does not explain what Side by Side will add or change. Pocketpair has not detailed new Pals, locations, systems, quests, balance changes, or a platform-by-platform release plan, so the update’s contents remain unknown.
Popularity poll results provide the announcement’s backdrop
Pocketpair held the Palworld Global Popularity Poll in September 2026 and has now published its overall rankings and language-specific results on a dedicated website. The poll is supporting context for the update reveal rather than a description of Side by Side itself.
The winter 2026 window is currently the only timing Pocketpair has provided. A specific release date and fuller update breakdown have not been announced.
What kind of feature would you most like to see in Palworld: Side by Side?
