Nintendo Switch App Version 3.5.0 is rolling out with several improvements for managing screenshots and videos uploaded from Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 systems. The update adds sorting and filtering tools, server-side deletion and an option to retain a capture’s original date when saving it to a mobile device.

According to the App Store version notes, users can now filter and sort uploaded screenshots and videos inside the app. Nintendo has also added the ability to delete those uploads from its server, giving players more direct control over the media associated with their account.

The third capture-related option changes how files are dated after they are downloaded to a phone. Players can choose to use the date on which a screenshot or video was originally captured on their console instead of the date it was saved to the mobile device. The setting can be changed through the app’s settings menu.

Version 3.5.0 also includes unspecified bug fixes and smaller improvements.

The Nintendo Switch App supports both Nintendo Switch generations. Beyond transferring captures, it lets users check friends’ online status, send friend requests and access game-specific services for titles and series including Animal Crossing, Splatoon and The Legend of Zelda. Some functions require a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

The Version 3.5.0 update is available through the app’s normal iOS and Android storefront update process. Users who do not receive it automatically can check the Nintendo Switch App listing in their device’s app store.
