NEOWIZ’s ‘Wonders of O’ Trademark Fuels Lies of P Sequel Speculation

NEOWIZ has filed a European Union trademark application for “Wonders of O,” prompting speculation that the name could be connected to the confirmed sequel to Lies of P. The filing is real, but NEOWIZ has not announced what the name represents or tied it to the sequel.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office record, application number 019420678, lists NEOWIZ as the owner and gives September 10, 2026, as the filing date. The word mark is currently under examination.

Its listed classes cover computer and video game software, downloadable game programs, online computer games, virtual reality game software and entertainment services. That makes “Wonders of O” a game-related filing, although trademark applications can be used to protect names before a company decides how—or whether—to use them publicly.

The possible Lies of P connection comes from more than the similar naming pattern. The game’s post-credits scene points toward imagery associated with Dorothy and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, making the “O” an obvious source of fan theories. Even so, neither an Oz setting nor a relationship to Lies of P is confirmed by the trademark itself.

What is official is that another Lies of P game is in production. In its FY2024 earnings presentation, NEOWIZ listed a Lies of P sequel as an in-house Soulslike RPG in development for PC and consoles. The company has not announced the sequel’s title, release date or individual console platforms.

Until NEOWIZ or ROUND8 Studio provides an official reveal, “Wonders of O” should be treated as a newly filed game trademark and a possible clue—not the confirmed title of the Lies of P sequel.
