Rockstar Games has officially lifted the curtain on part of Grand Theft Auto VI‘s in-game radio lineup, showcasing six stations that can now be previewed through the game’s official music page.
The interactive page gives each station its own artwork, description and playable preview. Rockstar says these are six stations featured in GTA VI, rather than identifying them as the complete or final lineup.
Six GTA 6 radio stations now have official previews
- Cocoteo FM — Modern Latin music hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, spanning bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton.
- Back Country Radio — Renegade country music from MW and Delta Dawne, broadcasting to the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond.
- AfroBank FM — Burna and Palmsy curate African music ranging from 20th-century classics and lesser-known tracks to amapiano, 3-step and other contemporary sounds.
- The Chamber 106.6 — DJ Kerry and DJ Tom host classic metal from the 1980s and beyond.
- Flash FM — Pop music hosted by Robyn and Alex. Rockstar describes it as a “Vice City institution,” marking the return of a familiar station name without yet detailing any broader continuity.
- Dirty South Classics — Trick and Trina present Southern rap and hip-hop classics.
Who hosts GTA 6’s new radio stations?
Rockstar’s interactive cards often present the DJs through in-universe names, while Pitchfork’s reporting identifies the real-world performers behind the six showcased stations. The two sets of names should not be treated as interchangeable character identities unless Rockstar provides further detail.
- Cocoteo FM — Rockstar presents El Martillo and La Gata as the hosts; Bad Bunny and RaiNao are the real-world performers behind the station’s duo.
- Back Country Radio — Rockstar’s presentation centers on MW and Delta Dawne, with related character Mud Dog Mike also mentioned. Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene are the real-world personalities associated with the station.
- AfroBank FM — Burna and Palmsy are the in-universe duo, with Burna Boy and Palms Trax behind the station.
- The Chamber 106.6 — Slayer musicians Kerry King and Tom Araya are behind DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
- Flash FM — Robyn and Alex Consani are associated with Rockstar’s hosts Robyn and Alex.
- Dirty South Classics — Trick Daddy and Trina are behind Rockstar’s presentation of Trick and Trina.
Each card on Rockstar’s site includes a “Preview Station” option, turning the reveal into more than a list of names. Visitors can hear a sample while browsing the artwork and official descriptions for all six stations.
GTA 6 adds on-demand podcasts and on-foot listening
Rockstar also confirmed several changes to how players can listen. According to the company’s official announcement, GTA VI will introduce a series of on-demand podcasts for the first time in the franchise.
Radio and podcasts will both be available in vehicles, but players will not have to stop listening after stepping out. Jason and Lucia can continue on foot by using newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones.
Rockstar is calling GTA VI‘s radio offering the series’ biggest and widest-ranging selection yet, with stations running from classic rock to talk radio. The six newly showcased stations are therefore an early sample rather than a definitive accounting of everything players will hear across Leonida.
Several station names had circulated previously through leaked development footage, but the significant change here is first-party confirmation: Rockstar is now publishing the artwork, host details, genre descriptions and playable previews itself.
The radio reveal is separate from our previous coverage of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the 34-track collection due alongside the game on November 19. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch that day for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
