God of War Laufey preorders open September 29 at 10:00 a.m. local time, ahead of the PlayStation 5 game’s February 16, 2027 release. Santa Monica Studio has also detailed the preorder bonus, the Digital Deluxe Edition, and how Faye’s newly revealed Serpent Bow works in combat.
According to the official PlayStation Blog announcement, anyone who buys the game before launch will receive the Last Wish Armor Set, a cosmetic Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance, and an in-game resource pack. The items unlock through story progression. Physical Standard Edition copies include the bonus through a download code and require an internet connection and PlayStation account.
What’s included in the Digital Deluxe Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition adds a set of Dark Alchemy equipment and digital extras:
- Dark Alchemy Armor Set
- Dark Alchemy Blade
- Dark Alchemy Bow Scales
- Dark Alchemy Catalyst
- In-game resource pack
- Digital mini artbook
- Official digital soundtrack
Santa Monica Studio has not announced pricing in this update. The studio did, however, explain that armor can change Faye’s stats, perks, and appearance. Players will also be able to customize her sword’s Blade, the Serpent Bow’s Scales, and magic-channeling artifacts called Catalysts.
Faye’s Serpent Bow supports precision and hip-fire combat
The Serpent Bow is an enchanted weapon that shifts from a dormant form into a ready bow. Its full-aim precision mode increases accuracy and draw distance, while targeted hits can restrict an enemy’s movement or ability to attack. Faye can also charge and stack as many as five arrows before releasing them as a volley.
Half-pressing the aim trigger instead puts Faye into a more mobile hip-fire stance. From there, she can fire a close-range cluster of arrows, juggle airborne enemies, and extend combos while switching between weapons and abilities. Different arrow types cover rapid fire, explosive attacks, and multiple targets.

Equippable Serpent Scales alter both the bow’s appearance and its specialty through unique perks. The weapon also has unlockable skills that expand its capabilities beyond the equipped Scale. Together with armor, Blade, and Catalyst choices, the system is intended to let players shape how Faye controls the flow of a fight.

The two new screenshots offer additional glimpses of the Everywhen, including an armored figure in a glowing chamber and Faye facing Kratos. Santa Monica Studio says more information will arrive before launch.
