Football Manager 27 will be free to play on PC and Mac for five days, from October 29 through November 3. The free Launch Preview begins at 6 PM GMT on October 29, ahead of the game’s full release on November 10.
Sports Interactive’s official announcement says the free period will be available through Steam, the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass. Xbox access is limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Players can download the Launch Preview from their preferred eligible platform without an additional sign-up. Every game mode is included during the free period.
Any save created during the free window can continue into the paid Launch Preview and the full game, so players will not need to begin a new career when access changes. Those playing through Game Pass can keep their saves going through their subscription.
A digital pre-purchase window will open alongside the free period, offering a 10% discount through SEGA-approved digital retailers. Players who pre-purchase can continue using the Launch Preview from 6 PM GMT on November 3 until the full launch on November 10.
Sports Interactive said this year’s Launch Preview replaces the previous Beta or Advanced Access label and is intended to be closer to the quality and finality of the launch version. The studio also noted that some information remains subject to approval by rights holders, meaning certain club or player assets may be absent during the preview.
Will you try Football Manager 27 during the free Launch Preview, or wait for the November 10 release?
