Veteran Dragon Age writer David Gaider is contributing to The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, working with Owlcat Games on specific parts of the upcoming RPG’s narrative.
Gaider announced the collaboration in a social post highlighted by PC Gamer. He said he has been working with the Owlcat team alongside his role at Summerfall Studios and described his involvement as “focusing on certain aspects of the game’s narrative.”
That wording does not make Gaider the game’s lead writer. His contribution is a collaboration on selected narrative elements, and Owlcat has not announced a broader change to the project’s writing leadership.
Gaider is best known for helping create the world of Thedas and for his writing work across the Dragon Age series. His credits also include Baldur’s Gate II and Neverwinter Nights, giving him experience with both classic computer RPGs and more cinematic role-playing games.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is a third-person action RPG set in the science-fiction universe created by James S. A. Corey. Owlcat is targeting a spring 2027 release, and the studio has positioned the project as a more cinematic departure from its isometric RPGs.
Which part of The Expanse universe would you most like Gaider’s narrative work to explore?
