Bungie CEO Pete Parsons announced significant changes due to rising development costs and economic conditions. The studio will eliminate 220 roles, about 17% of its workforce, impacting all levels, including executives. Bungie will focus on Destiny and Marathon, while integrating 155 roles into Sony Interactive Entertainment. A new studio will also be formed for a science-fantasy project. Despite these layoffs, Bungie aims to continue delivering high-quality games with over 850 team members remaining.
