The game is now the second best-selling sports game overall in the U.S., behind only NBA 2K21. It is one of the few titles in the top ten not published by 2K Sports.
In August, it was also noted as the best-selling game of 2024 year-to-date, contributing to a significant rise in video game spending in July. The game’s success stems from being the first new college football title in over a decade, and it features real player names and likenesses due to a Supreme Court ruling that allowed athletes to profit from their identities.
Currently, the price for EA Sports College Football 25 is $69.99 for the Standard Edition on both Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The Deluxe Edition is available for $99.99 for those who wish to purchase a license for the game. The game is also available in the EA Play monthly or yearly subscription.
