Nintendo has filed a new device with the FCC. There aren’t many details about it, but it’s unlikely that it’s the rumored Nintendo Switch 2 itself. With the little information we have, it’s hard to know what to expect, but it could be some kind of external utility, we can’t really tell.
This device appears to have its focus on wireless functionality as there are documents relating to an antenna specification with mentions of WLAN and a 24 GHz sensor present. It is described as a wireless device, but there are not many details surrounding it at the moment.
With this information in mind, taking the sensor as a potential reference point, it could be that this device is intended to work with another device(or a gaming system) of some sort for motion-tracking purposes. We can’t say anything for sure, though, so we have to wait for an official statement or reveal from Nintendo.
