At the fourth Geeked Week, Netflix showcased its masterpieces that will offer viewers a visual feast. The event, which delighted fans with exclusive Geeked news, live streams, and events, took place from September 16 to 19.
Gamers’ attention has been drawn to the latest trailer for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft among these remarkable productions.
Lara confronts everyone who tries to divert her from her course and draws her bow once more. In pursuit of a relic from her past, she brandishes her iconic twin pistols and battles a variety of formidable foes, including demons. In the thrilling video, Lara drifts, jumps on a train with a motorcycle, investigates historical sites, and attempts to solve enigmatic puzzles to uncover the truth.
The principal plot point of The Legend of Lara Croft is Lara’s return to Croft Manor following the theft of a “dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact.” Additionally returning is Jonah (Earl Baylon), whom you may recall from the ‘Survivor’ series. It looks like Lara will once again fight side by side with her friends and perhaps add new ones to her many rescues.
The new Tomb Raider anime will be voiced by Hayley Atwell, who is well known for her portrayal of Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the last chapter of the previous reboot trilogy, is continued in the anime.
Fans of the show are likely to be quite excited about the new anime, but everyone is waiting to see when Lara Croft’s next adventure game will be released. Previously, Dallas Dickinson, general manager of Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider series, revealed during the State of Unreal 2022 that Unreal Engine 5 is being used in the development of the upcoming Tomb Raider game, which he promised would be a “high-quality cinematic action-adventure experience.” Not long after, Amazon Games assumed publishing duties for the game.
During the 25th anniversary of the Tomb Raider series, game director Will Kerslake from Crystal Dynamics stated that the company wasn’t prepared to reveal a new game. However, promising news for the anticipated game came last month from Amazon Games boss Christoph Hartmann. He recently told IGN that “things are going well” and “moving forward.” He also added that the development of the game is a “huge task” for the company, underscoring the importance of the project for them.
On October 10, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will be available on Netflix along with other anime releases for those who are interested.
