Sony Announces Three Major Franchise TV Adaptations
Three PlayStation franchises will receive TV adaptations, these franchises are Horizon, God of War, and Gran Turismo. The streaming platforms are decided for Horizon and God of War. Horizon will be streamed on Netflix. As for God of war, Amazon it is. Unfortunately, though, the platform decided for Gran Turismo is not revealed.
It was revealed in an investor briefing that Sony president Jim Ryan mentioned Sony expanding into entertainment adaptations deeper. This was confirmed by various insiders, one of them being David Gibson.
The streaming services for all of the TV adaptations of Sony’s franchises differ from each other greatly. This can be related to Sony not having favorites in terms of these platforms. It’s not a surprise to us, either, as The Last of Us TV show and Twisted Metal series also have different streaming platforms.
Netflix and Amazon are already interested in this concept of games’ TV show adaptations. As Amazon has been working on a Fallout TV series whereas Netflix is known for streaming the League of Legends Arcane series.
