Sony is Rolling Out New SSD Expansion Update for PS5

Sony has finally announced that they are rolling out the next major update for PS5, which is an SSD expansion patch that will allow users to install their M.2 SSDs on their PS5 systems. There were discussions about it going on, and we finally have it for real.

You can now install an M.2 SSD of yours that varies from 250GB to 4TB to your PS5. Sony also notes that you will be needing a heatsink with the new SSD, as the new hardware will be causing heat inside the console.

More details are present on a PlayStation blog post, where they introduce even more quality of life updates. This includes control center customization, enhanced game base, Game Library, and Home Screen updates, Screen Reader controls, and more.
