Report Shows that Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remastered is in The Works, Now for More Platforms

A report shows that the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is getting a remaster, which is supposed to be released this Fall. Apparently, it will release on many platforms including Nintendo Switch.

This claim comes from Kotaku, where they say that their sources tell them about the upcoming remasters of GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas. It is also said that the remaster will be made with Unreal Engine, the report also tells that this remaster will feature a mix of “new and old graphics,”

The leading brand behind the project seems to be Rockstar Dundee, the Scottish branch of Rockstar Games. It is also currently working on GTA 5’s Xbox Series X/S and PS5 port with Rockstar company itself. Rumors of this trilogy remaster have been going on for a while now, and its chance for reality is increasing day by day.

Kotaku also says that this trilogy remaster was planned as a bundle package that would arrive with next-gen editions of GTA 5 and GTA Online as a bonus, but apparently, the plans for this release have changed. It is now planned as a standalone release, and it will be out this Fall. To be precise, “around late October or early November,” Kotaku says.

The GTA Trilogy will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Google Stadia, mobile phones, and Nintendo Switch. However, the console ports seem to be the top priority for Rockstar Dundee, so the PC and mobile device ports may arrive a year later.
