EA has announced that they took the decision to take some of Need for Speed games down from digital storefronts. These games are Need for Speed Carbon, Undercover, Shift, Shift 2: Unleashed, The Run. And the date for removal is May 31st.

The news were shared on Reddit by the devs themselves. These titles’ have gotten their in-game stores inactive on May 31 as well, as for online services, they’ll be on until August 31. After August 31 players can still play the games in offline mode.

These games were released between 2006 and 2011, with Need for Speed Carbon being the oldest and Need for Speed The Run being the newest. Looks like EA just wants to move on and focus on new Need for Speed titles.
