An Action-RPG Final Fantasy Game is Coming for PS5, Will Reportedly Be Revealed at E3

Reports show that a Dark Souls-styled Final Fantasy RPG game is currently in development. The name behind this project seems to be Team Ninja from Koei Tecmo, and it is said that the reveal of the game will be made at E3, as a part of Square Enix’s presentation.

Fanbyte‘s report shows that the game will tell the events that happened in the world of the original Final Fantasy game from 1987. The title will be set as Final Fantasy Origin, and it will be a PS5 exclusive with plans for a PC port after the game’s release.

There’s also a claim that says there will be an alpha demo this summer, which will be called Stranger in Paradise. But we don’t know if it’s 100% correct or not yet.

Fanbyte’s report says that “Final Fantasy Origin” will be developed by the team that made Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. This team and some experienced members from the team behind Nioh will be in the project as well. We’ll see how things will turn out in E3 this summer, probably. Until then, let’s keep our fingers crossed that this will be something fun.
