First Major Update For PlayStation Allows You To Store Your Games in USB Devices!

The first major software update is coming up for PlayStation 5! In fact, it could even be out when you are reading this. It will bring some personalization options, social features, and of course, it will enchant the storage.

They announced this update in a PlayStation Blog. This PS5 April update will give us the chance to store our games on USB expanded storage devices, share gameplay across PS5 and PS4 consoles with Share Play and a new trophy and stats screen.

So you would not be having problems with storage anymore because of the fact that you will be able to store your games on a USB-expended storage device. I personally think that this is an awesome innovation to the console.

And when it comes to other new things this update brings to us, first of all, we are getting a  cross-generation Share Play. So what does this mean exactly? It means that you will be able to share your screen with your friends who are using PlayStation 4.

Secondly, you don’t need to use the in-game menus to join the games anymore, because this new update will add a ‘Request to Join’ option to both PS4 and PS5.

Also, we will be able to pre-load upcoming game patches, if the developers enable them. And personally, I think that this is one of the best things this update adds to the console.

And a new system for trophies is coming up, it will allow you to customize when images and videos are captured when you unlock a trophy.

Finally, you will be able to customize your library and adjust the menu magnification to suit your needs.
