Sony has Taken Even More Interest in Mobile Gaming Now

Sony’s actions in the mobile gaming industry had expanded drastically, and it looks like these expansions are not ending anytime soon.

As PlayStation Studios Head of Mobile job listing states, they “constantly strive to push the boundaries of technology, storytelling and innovation in order to deliver memorable experiences for every PlayStation fan.”

Well, we can say that Sony has even more plans for the mobile gaming industry nowadays, but this doesn’t mean we’ll be getting the games fast. As the job listing states, there is a need for a roadmap, and the development process time has been labeled as three to five years.

Sony has its own branch for publishing mobile games, it’s called PlayStation Mobile, Inc., it already had published a bunch of games for mobile. Not only games but also the publishing of the PS Remote Play and PlayStation app was their responsibility as well. For games, notable titles are Uncharted: Fortune Hunter, Run Sackboy! Run!, God of War | Mimir’s Vision(AR). Other than that, we have the PlayLink titles for PlayStation 4.

Interestingly enough, PlayStation Mobile, Inc. was also the name behind the publishing of Horizon and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. The list doesn’t end here though, as Days Gone will be added to it later on.

Mobile gaming is an industry that should never be seen as small, as we know how successful games can be, PUBG Mobile, Pokémon GO, Candy Crush, Roblox, and Genshin Impact can be viewed as examples. So, Sony pushing even more towards the industry is just natural.
