Monster Hunter Franchise Sale Numbers Go Over 71 Million After Rise’s Sales Surpassing 5 Million

After it was released on March 26, Monster Hunter Rise surpasses the 5 million sales milestone in one week, adding it up with Capcom’s announced Monster Hunter franchise sales of 66 million at the end of 2020, it makes at least over 71 million.

The franchise had its debut back in 2004, and 17 years later, Capcom still wants to continue developing it. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is planned to release for Switch and PC on July 9, 2021. It is said that this game will have some relevancies with Rise, which seems interesting. Also, Rise for PC will release in early 2022.

Capcom is also expanding the sphere of the franchise, as we are getting the first movie for it. It’s already released in Japan! The release date was March 26th.

“Capcom remains firmly committed to satisfying the expectations of all users by leveraging its industry-leading game development capabilities in order to create highly entertaining gameplay experiences,” Capcom explained.
