Ghost of Tsushima Movie Coming From Sony With John Wick Director

Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions announced that the latest PlayStation IP to receive movie treatment was Sucker Punch Productions’ open-world action game Ghost of Tsushima, which was released via PS4 last year. Currently, details about the movie are scarce. There’s no word on a release date, cast, or when the project is scheduled to begin filming. What we do know is that Chad Stahelski, the man behind John Wick, was chosen as director.

Beyond John Wick, Stahelski is best known for his stunt work. Over the years, Stahelski has worked as a stunt coordinator, choreographer and more, supplementing his resume with movies like Deadpool, The Hunger Games, Captain America: Civil War, and The Matrix Reloaded.

Stahelski is joined by Alex Young and Jason Spitz, who will serve as producers through 87Eleven Entertainment companies. Meanwhile, in addition to the project, there are Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan from PlayStation Productions.

Sucker Punch Productions, the developer behind IP, is also featured as Executive Producer in the film, and Peter Kang is overseeing the project on behalf of the studio.

As mentioned, there are no details about the movie. What we do know is that Stahelski is scheduled to shoot John Wick 4 soon, which means filming Ghost of Tsushima is probably still the way to go.
