The Legendary PlayStation Title ‘Tenchu: Stealth Assassins’ Is Coming Back!

Tenchu franchise started way back on the original PlayStation. It’s a stealth-action series that was first made an appearance in the late ’90s. The first title of the series was Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. The series went out and got forgotten through the years. Its last appearance was in 2009 when they ported Tenchu: Shadow Assassins to PSP.

It’s the kind of series that makes you go ”Oh yeah, that was a thing!” when someone mentions it. Nobody has been all that vocal about wanting to see this series return.

But there is some surprising news! Takuma Endo, the president of the original Tenchu developer Acquire teased that we could get this series back. Endo-san talked about this in an interview with Gametsu. He said that he would be interested in creating a new game for the stealth series for PlayStation 5.

So now we have to wait to see if there will be a revival for the series. But having an old and nostalgic title like Tenchu sounds awesome!
