God of War fans thinks that there could be some hints about the upcoming game in the most recent comic book ”God of War: Fallen God”. It’s set after the events of the third game, tells the story of Kratos’ journey into the Norse realms, where he meets Faye and has a child with her. The description for the four-issue series reads as “Believing himself to be finally free of his bondage, he sets sail for the desert in an attempt to distance himself from his home and his shame only to find his rage and guilt follow close behind. Kratos rages against the one foe that has proven to be unconquerable – himself. But a war against oneself is unwinnable, and only invites madness.”
There will be spoilers for God of War: Fallen God at the following part!
The comic book story goes like this; Kratos wants to leave Greece and he wants to leave that traumatized past behind. However, the Blades of Chaos appear to be intent on staying with him. He chucks them into the sea. But the weapons turn back to him mysteriously. He travels as far as he can go from his homeland. And eventually, he finds himself in Egypt. He meets a bunch of new characters that communicate cryptic messages about the fate of the Ghost of Sparta. An old man, a talking monkey, and a talking bird attempt to impart their story to the warrior, but Kratos is so worn down that he believes them to be mirages.
In God of War, Atreus, Mimir, and Kratos find a tapestry. It depicts the Norse god Tyr visiting the other realms. According to the symbols in the scene, It visited Greece, Japan, Britain, and Egypt. This old man could be Heka, the god of magic, medicine, and primordial forces of the universe. The talking monkey could be Thoth, the god of reason and writing. But it could be the moon god Khonsu too, whose name means ”traveler” and has the ability to transform into a baboon. And lastly, the bird could be Horus in disguise. The god of the sky, sun, kingship, protection, and healing.
But of course, this is all a speculation without any official comments about the subject. But if any news about this subject drops, you can be sure that you can find it on Gamenewsplus.
