Toys R Us is Coming Back Once Again, New Stores are Planned in North America

With WHP Global, a brand management company from New York, Toys R Us is coming back. The stores that are planned to be opened will be located in North America. A statement for their controlling interest in Tru Kids was made before, and what’s Tru Kids? It’s the parent company of Toys/Babies R Us and Geoffrey the Giraffe brands.

WHP Global CEO Yehuda Shmidman commented on the news, “We’re in the brand business, and Toys R Us is the single most credible, trusted, and beloved toy brand in the world,” continuing with his sentences, “We’re coming off a year where toys are just on fire… and for Toys R Us, the U.S. is really a blank canvas.”

After announced bankruptcy, Toys R Us had closed down its last 700 stores in North America back in June 2018. But that wasn’t the end of the brand, as they had more than 900 stores worldwide, the events in June 2018 only caused the brand to decrease its influence on the domestic market.
