Netflix is Preparing to Prevent Users From Sharing Accounts

Account sharing is very common along people who have a Netflix subscription, sharing your password with your friend has always been the best way instead of getting two separate subscriptions this whole time. But now, Netflix is getting ready to put limits on this, as some users already noticed it.

While using Netflix on a different connection than the owner of the account, some users may face issues and get a message that says “If you don’t live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to keep watching.”

With Netflix having information on IP addresses that access their server, this won’t be a big issue for Netflix to handle in order to prevent sharing accounts. But this is where the mobile phones and other devices step in, you don’t always watch from the same device as a person or family, right?

It will be interesting to see how Netflix will handle all of these and take action about users sharing their passwords with their friends and family.
