After Xbox One’s launch, there have been some issues that caused several problems. There were also some features that did not meet their expectations, and what we have here is one of them.
There were plans on them such as making TV programs, but they were canceled and did not make it to this day. But we still have a kind of “remnant” from those plans back then, and that is OneGuide.
Want me to explain OneGuide? It’s basically a TV Listings app for Xbox One. In May, it will be gone forever. After other elements got removed, OneGuide will also get removed and no longer will be accessible, meaning you won’t be able to check details of your favorite TV programs on your Xbox One.
In a blog post, Jonathan Hildebrandt from Microsoft made a statement about the matter.
“Based on customer usage and feedback, we’re constantly evolving the Xbox experience. To that end, beginning this May we’ll be unsetting live TV listings for OneGuide on Xbox One,”
