Hogwarts Legacy Lead Designer Leaves After YouTube Controversy

Hogwarts Legacy chief designer Troy Leavitt left developer Avalanche Software and the project after discussions around the YouTube channel.

Leavitt became the center of controversy two weeks ago when journalist Liam Robertson pointed out that the designer had previously uploaded a series of videos that supported the Gamergate movement and belittled high-profile cases of sexual harassment.

Leavitt has now announced on Twitter that he is leaving Avalanche Software, adding that he has nothing but good things to say about the game, the development team, and WB Games. Leavitt later said that he felt absolutely safe in his position on Avalanche, but chose to resign.

Neither Avalanche Software nor WB Games commented on Leavitt’s departure at the time of writing.
