Reports Show That New Nintendo Switch With 4K Output Support is in The Works

Some rumors show that Nintendo is preparing to reveal its improvised Nintendo Switch model, which will have a Samsung OLED display and can go up to 4K when in docked mode.

Mass production of 720P resolution OLED panels which will be 7-inch by Samsung Display Co. in June 2021. There is an “initial monthly target of under a million units” as well. July is the targeted month for distribution.

7-inch OLED panels will replace 6.2-inch old display panels. The screen size will be enlarged with the upgrade of the Samsung OLED display.

Co-founder of display consultancy DSCC Yoshio Tamura said that “The OLED panel will consume less battery, offer higher contrast and possibly faster response time when compared to the Switch’s current liquid-crystal display,”

Still, Nintendo has got time to reveal the new model of the console, as the original Switch sells a lot, they don’t have to rush things, they can take the corners gently.
