Scalpers State That The Criticism Towards Their Actions is Unjustified

A scalper group from the UK which is responsible for its actions with mass purchases of Xbox Series X/S and PS5 has claimed that the criticizing against them is unjustified.

The group we are talking about is called “The Lab”, they are carrying out their operations just like the other scalpers. And we know what scalpers do: Mass purchase high amount of new products and resell them as overpriced once the stocks go off. They are basically there to make money.

Even now, the reason why we cannot get a next-gen console is scalpers, and this is a big score for them. Because next-gen consoles could be the most in-demand products that they have performed operations of. And probably, this is the operation that got them the most amount of money.

Forbes spoke with the owner of The Lab, who is referred to as Jordan in the article, made a statement on the matter:

“There seems to be A LOT of bad press on this incredibly valuable industry and I do not feel that it is justified, all we are acting as is a middleman for limited-quantity items.”

Well, I don’t think people who haven’t gotten their next-gen consoles yet will buy this. They call themselves middlemen, and they resell 25 PS5 units from £700 along with other sales and claim that the criticizing towards them is unjustified.

Other claims they made such as donating money to charities are not proven yet, as the group doesn’t want to reveal the name of the charity they claim to donate for. The UK government is planning to take action on these scalper groups, let’s hope that we don’t have such problems as scalper groups in the future.
