Actress Gina Carano Got Fired From Lucasfilm
Actress Gina Carano who has been working in The Mandalorian TV series got fired from Lucasfilm, reported by io9.
In a statement made by a Lucasfilm spokesperson, it is said that “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
After Gina’s Instagram post -which is now deleted- that compares a modern-day republican with a Jewish person during WWII, people protested it and started a trending hashtag #FireGinaCarano which was created by people, demanding Lucasfilms to fire Gina Carano.
She was already infamous for her comments on wearing masks in public and the 2020 presidential elections. So you can say that this was the final straw. The plans with the actress are now scrapped.
