Robert Altman, Founder and CEO of Bethesda, Passed Away

Bethesda reported that Robert Altman, co-founder, president and CEO of its parent company, passed away this week at the age of 73.

Originally trained as a lawyer, Altman collaborated with developer Christopher Weaver, who founded ZeniMax Media as a new parent company for Bethesda Softworks in 1999. Bethesda, with Altman as a chief executive officer and Weaver as chief technical officer, has been home to numerous iconic IPs including Fallout, Rage, Doom, The Elder Scrolls, Dishonored, Wolfenstein, and The Evil Within.

In a post on Bethesda’s Twitter account, the company praised Altman for being a true visionary and an outstanding leader.
