Nintendo may never remake The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but a fan of the game has recreated a bit in Unreal Engine, and the end product is admired by Nintendo fans and dreaming about a proper remake on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. The Super Switch, which could provide the extra strength needed to fully realize the Nintendo 64 classic with modern graphics.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the fifth entry in The Legend of Zelda series, but it was the first time it took advantage of 3D graphics. When it was released in 1998, it quickly gained praise as one of the best games of the year and was eventually considered one of the best games of all time, not just as one of the best games on Nintendo 64. In fact, many Zelda fans consider it one of the best or at least one of the best Zelda games ever made.
However, while The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is undeniably a classic, it didn’t age very well like most early 3D games. Not only are the controls chunky and the visuals are not so hot either, which makes the above version of YouTuber Yianni Papazis even more impressive. As you can see, Papazis rebuilt Castle Town and several other parts of the game in Unreal Engine. And as expected, Nintendo fans are in the comments.
While Nintendo continues on Ocarina of Time, it is currently working on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, which may be released earlier than previously thought. This year, the series will also celebrate its 35th anniversary. While celebrating the same anniversary for Mario last year, Nintendo has grown enormously and many Nintendo fans predict it will do something similar with Zelda. In other words, we hope we can see something similar to the video above soon.
